Let’s be real, we have all been interrupted…especially when you’re in the middle of something important. During those moments most of us want to explode, especially on the person or situation that has broken our flow.
As humans we struggle to embrace unexpected demands. On a deeper level, it is safe to say, our ego thinks it “owns time” — “my time” means “I own it”. Truth is, nobody owns time and that level of control is unrealistic and impossible. Father Time himself would be laughing at the very idea.
What if an interruption is an invitation from our higher power to interact with something greater than ourselves? What if we reframed this moment completely? What if we surrender instead of letting ourselves become overwhelmed and defeated?
Instead, we recognize a higher power is intervening in our lives and surrender to the moment instead of fighting it. The key here is to not take it personally — remember, the interruption is a higher archetypal power.
Most importantly, remember to PAUSE and SURRENDER.
